Mission
Statement
The purpose of the Association is to further the advancement of
educational
programs serving chronically ill children in order to enhance the mental
and
physical health of students in their medical and educational
environments
through education, action, service, advocacy, research, and the
establishment
of standards.
What Do We Do?
- Provide
a unified organization of professionals involved with hospitalized and
homebound students.
- Promote
the welfare and education of chronically ill students.
- Increase
awareness of issues relating to medically referred students.
- Impact
legislation regarding services to chronically ill students.
- Compile
and disperse information regarding current trends in educating chronically ill
students.
- Sponsor an annual conference.
